Today on my way to work I met Sarah from next door She drooled and took my hand and jerked me to the floor I tried to get back up, still dizzy from the fall Suddenly I felt hungry, so we headed for the mall Because there is nothing like a mallful of brains There is nothing like a mallful of brains I looked across the street to the diner by the mall A sign said 'all you can eat,' so I tried to eat them all Later on my friend Mike came by to grab a drink I took a little bite of him and then went to see my shrink Because there is nothing like a mallful of brains There is nothing like a mallful of brains I really like to eat brains I really like to eat brains I really like to eat brains I really like... Brains, a mallful of brains Brains, a mallful of brains Brains, a mallful of brains Brains, a mallful of brains Mmh, eyeballs!

I have the best German fairytale, the best Scholastic book I have comedies and screenplays that are really, really good I have My Heart So White and a book about you About the end of the world and about aliens, too I have Looking for Alaska as you can see An Abundance of Katherines belongs to me I have many books from A to Z But I must confess I don't have Paper Towns, yet I have books that sound dirty but are really all right I have books that sound nerdy but are dirty inside I have Reasons to Be Pretty, I have reasons to be smart I have books about emotion but none about art I have Looking for Alaska as you can see An Abundance of Katherines belongs to me I have many books some of which are red But I must confess I don't have Paper Towns, yet I have The Devil's Dictionary and books about Gods The complete works of Shakespeare, a book about odds I have books that are funny and some that are sad Some are amazing and some are rather bad I love Catching Fire; I wonder how it ends I have The Elements of Style in your pants I have Looking for Alaska as you can see An Abundance of Katherines belongs to me And for full disclosure I also have The Fountainhead But as of now I don't have Paper Towns, yet

I'm already old and torn I'm battered and I'm worn My time will soon be up All her stuff has been packed This time she won't come back And I will be left behind Although I have been down a lot and almost never up I've always been here on this spot, happy with what I got I have done things you'll never do Zach Braff won't slip on you on a frosty day I have felt things you'll never feel The touch of vegan heels on a sunny day I sometimes kept her key She knows it's safe with me Still, she doesn't even know my name She never talked to me She kicked me with her feet To me it's all the same I'm really quite content with the non-life that I had Maybe I will be reborn, hopefully as her bed I have known things you'll never know Like angels in the snow on a winter day I have seen things you'll never see When she stood over me that sunny day I waited for her every time she came home late at night I caught her tears when her dog Charlie died I have done things you'll never do The rain won't stay with you on a cloudy day I have seen things you'll never see When she stood over me that sunny day

I love the dead - strictly vocationally I love the dead - I bury them professionally So far none of them came back to complain I'm just a happy undertaker - I aim to please I'm making sure you'll get the perfect grave to rest in peace Sometimes I feel a little bit misunderstood Because death is my business and business is good I love the dead - strictly vocationally I love the dead - I bury them professionally This funeral home is the place I call home And with the graveyard next door I never feel alone I love the dead - strictly vocationally I love the dead - I bury them professionally So far none of them came back to complain I don't mean to offend - I just really like my job I take care of the bodies before they start to rot I can give you silence - I can give you thunder Either way you'll end up six feet under I love the dead - strictly vocationally I love the dead - I bury them professionally This is the grave digger's delight

Frank 04:30

Bad Hair Day 02:20
Somehow we lost our summer and now we have to move on We just pretend to be busy, both wondering what went wrong I saw you have a new haircut I told you I'm doing fine We both pretend time changed us But it's been us who changed time It's all right, after all, I guess love just had a bad hair day I don't mind if you call, I don't need you anyway You were caught in transition, more insecure than ever before I missed the point so many times, I don't bother counting anymore After all, I guess love just had a bad hair day I don't mind if you call, I don't love you anyway I don't love you anyway

Someone said today is your 24th birthday I really don't know what I'm supposed to do Until now it has been just an ordinary Thursday But now every thought keeps leading back to you I feel you in my mind I'm still not over you Can't leave it all behind I'm still not over you In the city everything reminds of your smile (How it all began) I only hope tomorrow I'll be futurebound (Happy once again) You were like a seagull in the cloudless sky (Heading for the sun) I, on the hand, was turtle on the ground You were one of a kind I'm still not over you Can't leave it all behind I'm still not over you Still not over you Can't leave it all behind I'm still not over you Can't get you off my mind I'm still not over you Can't leave it all behind I'm still not over you

At first I wasn't concerned Things like that happen to everyone But then it started happening all the time Now every night, haunting and hazy I have this dream: Joey dumps Pacey Every night, strange and crazy I have this dream: Joey dumps Pacey In my dream she takes a plane to Europe And she knocks on my door She says she wants to spend the rest of her life with me And just like that we fall in love And then I always wake up Every night, haunting and hazy I have this dream: Joey dumps Pacey Every night, surreal and crazy I have this dream: Joey dumps Pacey Every night, haunting and hazy I have this dream: Joey dumps Pacey Every night, weird and crazy I have this dream: Joey dumps Pacey

Here is a secret that I'm going to share with you The perfect meal to eat before you're getting drunk This recipe comes straight from the heart of Mother Russia It keeps any hangover away You need some schnitzel soup and 17 potatoes The soup is easy - just get a lot of meat Then put it in a pot and add a little water Boil it for a while until it's through When it's Vodka, vodka - early in the evening Vodka, vodka - early in the night Vodka, vodka - early in the evening Vodka, vodka - early in the night If you like it sweet you add some apfelstrudel And if you're hungry you should add chunk of cheese And when the soup is boiling you add a few more items Paprika, tomatoes, sauerkraut and beans You have to eat a lot for the soup to be effective Five full plates at least When it's Vodka, vodka - early in the evening Vodka, vodka - early in the night Vodka, vodka - early in the evening Vodka, vodka - drinking all day and night Vodka! Vodka, vodka - early in the evening Vodka, vodka - early in the night Vodka, vodka - early in the morning Vodka, vodka - drinking all day and night

Seek the mother of a calf And steal some of her milk Take two cups and a half Make sure they are filled Take the feathered's unborn And crack open their shell Take all that's inside And pour it into the cauldron Pour it into the cauldron Pour it into the cauldron Seek the wheat in the valley Defying the wind alone Cut it down without mercy And grind it with a stone Separate it from the chaff Obtain a snow-white powder Take enough to fill two cups And pour it into the cauldron Pour it into the cauldron Pour it into the cauldron Stir it! Stir it! Stir it! Stir it! Now take some of the thick mass and some oil And pour it into the frying pan Into the frying pan Heat up the frying pan Heat up the frying pan Devour them all Satanic pancakes

So let's pretend we're in a movie And let's pretend there is a happy ending Close your eyes We'll leave this bar behind - you and I tonight

about

The first part (half?) of this album consists of happy songs, hence the title "The Happiest Man". The second part is somewhat bittersweet, starting with "Frank" and "Lisa" - two songs sung in German. Finally, the third part is mainly loud. It features some more songs I made for the Song Fu songwriting challenge. Of course, the album ends with "A Happy Ending".
